My name is Hillary Carroll and I was born and raised in Redding, CA.
After attending UC San Diego for my undergraduate studies and receiving my Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Visual Arts / Photography, I moved to Los Angeles in 2007 to pursue my passion and love for motion picture filmmaking.
In December of 2011, I attained my Masters in Fine Arts in Film Production / Cinematography from UC Los Angeles.
Ever since, I've worked a myriad of different crew positions including producer, production manager, set lighting technician and best boy grip.
However, camera operating and camera assisting has been my calling and where I chose to direct my attention and talent. I joined IATSE and Local 600 (International Camera Union) in May of 2012 and primarily work on multi-camera unscripted reality television shows. I have consistently worked on multiple seasons of ABC's Bachelor / Bachelorette franchises, FOX's Master Chef franchise with Gordon Ramsay as well as other television shows for Netflix, Disney Plus and various cable networks.
I am a union camera operator and camera assistant but I also direct and produce my own content related to student loan debt and being financially savvy and independent.
I work in the Los Angeles area but have and will continue to work wherever it takes me! I look forward to working with you on your next project.
